Today I laid the fibreglass and epoxy in the moulds. It’s fast work as you have to get things done before the epoxy hardens.
The little rubber squeegee was the perfect tool for applying the epoxy micro fibre mix.
When I look through the windows of the room and see the two blue half moulds in there, they seem like coffins. But coffins that are waiting for someone to fill them. A slightly morbid thought.
For the first time today, I felt that I had a relationship with the form that I was constructing. That it was in some way living or responding. It is not the materials but the overall shape that seems to support this. The materials being secondary.
