For a while I’ve been playing with the idea of an Electric Painting. I wanted to comply with some of the accepted conventions of painting, but using my own set of materials.

A shot from a very nice BBC documentary about Ai Weiwei, showing the artist’s studio in Beijing. Some interesting historical background, especially the role of Weiwei’s father in China under Mao. Lots of space, natural light, I could deal with this.
